Officers said that all was quiet when officers arrived, but another altercation on nearby Dent Street was reported.

The men were arrested and a subsequent search of a property on York Road revealed a suspected large cannabis farm.

An amount of cash and four vehicles were also seized by police.

Cleveland Police added: “Officers remain in the property and in the wider neighbourhood conducting further inquiries under a joint investigation by Hartlepool CID and Hartlepool Neighbourhood Policing Team.

“The men remain in custody awaiting questioning.”
