Elderly woman robbed in Hartlepool street

A 50-year-old man will appear before magistrates charged with the robbery of an elderly woman in Hartlepool.

Cleveland Police confirmed in a statement on Wednesday, August 18 that it has charged a 50-year-old Hartlepool man with robbery.

The statement on the force's Facebook page added: “The alleged incident happened on Tuesday, August 18 on Elliott Street.”

The force also confirmed that the man will appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, August 19 to answer charges.
