Officers will be visiting Ward Jackson Park, Rossmere Park and Summerhill in an attempt to engage with youngsters

The activity falls under Operation Phoenix – the campaign to improve public service, prioritise vulnerability, tackle serious violence and prevent crime.

Chief Inspector Pete Graham, of Hartlepool Community Safety Team, said: “We’re responding to issues raised by our communities and want to reassure residents that we are taking action on these.

“Now that we’re well into the summer holidays we want everyone including our children and young people to be able to enjoy the town’s green spaces.”
