The following cases from the Hartlepool area were dealt with recently at Teesside Magistrates’ Court:

David Atkinson, 37, of Hazel Grove, Hartlepool, was fined £54 after he admitted one count of failing to attend unpaid work appointments as part of a community order.

Levi Waddington, 19, care of Rugby Street, Hartlepool, was fined £40 after he admitted one count of failing to attend scheduled appointments as part of a community order.

Michael Oswald Auton, 71, of Wensleydale Street, Hartlepool, was banned from driving for six months and ordered to pay a £40 fine, £34 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after he was convicted of speeding in Blakelock Gardens.

Jamie Johnson, 27, of Ash Crescent, Peterlee, was ordered to pay a £220 fine, £3.80p compensation, £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after he was convicted in his absence of failing to pay a £3.80 rail fare on March 6.

Catherine Fishwick, 45, of The Crescent, Blackhall Colliery, was banned from driving for six months and ordered to pay a £657 fine, £66 victim surcharge and £310 costs after she was convicted of failing to provide information leading to the identity of a driver.

Daniel Morrell, 34, of Haswell Avenue, Hartlepool, received eight penalty points on his driving licence after it was proved in his absence that he drove without valid insurance on December 1 last year.

Craig Lee Wharton, 44, of Milner Grove, Hartlepool, was jailed for seven days after admitting failing to comply with supervision requirements following his release from prison.
