Four arrested and £25k in cash seized in Hartlepool drug raids

Cleveland Police executed a number of warrants across the town and in Darlington on Tuesday, February 18 as part of Operation Sentinel, which works to disrupt and prevent organised crime.

Three men, aged 33, 34 and 35, were arrested in Hartlepool on suspicion of conspiring to supply Class A drugs while a 35-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of money laundering.

An estimated £25,000 in cash, a quantity of suspected Class A drugs and a number of high-value jewellery items were recovered by officers.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “Those targeted in these early morning raids are suspected of being involved in organised crime and investigations continue.

“The activity forms part of Operation Sentinel, which is our regional approach to tackling serious and organised crime.”

Warrants were also executed in the Merseyside and Cornwall areas.
