Four people arrested in Hartlepool following drug raid

Neighbourhood officers raided a house on Gloucester Street in Hartlepool on Tuesday, January 19 where they found suspected heroin, suspected cannabis and Class C drugs inside.

The joint operation was supported by Hartlepool Response and Dog Support officers and after extensive searches police also discovered a number of mobile phones, amounts of cash and suspected drugs paraphernalia.

Two men, aged 39 and 33 and two women, aged 51 and 41 were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.

PC Geoff Coggin said: “We acted very quickly on the information provided by residents and this was a great result.

"We welcomed the resources supplied by our colleagues in Response and the Dog Support Unit; this was a real team effort to tackle community issues quickly and effectively.”

The four people have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
