Fraud, drug driving and resisting arrest: The latest Hartlepool cases dealt with by magistrates

Jacqueline Hawkesford, 27, of Ruskin Grove, Hartlepool, admitted fraud to the value of £3,233.99 by making up false invoices. She was ordered to pay the same amount back in compensation and was given a 12-month community order with 100 hours of unpaid work.

Evaldas Lekavicius, 35, of Spurn Walk, Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol. He was fined £666 and banned from driving for 46 months. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £66 surcharge.

David Francis Owens, 28, of Miers Avenue, Hartlepool, was fined £120 after he pleaded guilty to resisting arrest. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.

Callum Richie Dickson, 22, of Rievaulx Avenue, Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to drug driving. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge. He was also banned from driving for 12 months.

Adam Karime Jaafri, 19, of Victoria Road, Hartlepool, was given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £21 surcharge after he admitted a charge of criminal damage.

David Whinn, 59, of Cumberland Road, Billingham, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol, failing to stop for a police officer and failing to surrender to custody. He was given a nine-week prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, banned from driving for four years and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £122 surcharge.

Dean McKenna, 27, of Islay Grove, Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to drug driving, driving without a licence and insurance. He was fined £200 and banned from driving for 12 months. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.

Mitchell Dixon, 19, of Allington Drive, Billingham, pleaded guilty to being in charge of a vehicle while over the limit. He was fined £92 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge. He was banned from driving for three months.

Dylan Robert Wiley, 24, of St Catherine’s Court, Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to two charges of attempted theft. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs, a £30 surcharge and £175 in compensation.

Simon Duncan, 26, of Lansdowne Road, Hartlepool, admitted being in charge of a motor vehicle with excess alcohol. He was fined £300 and ordered to pay £620 costs and a £32 surcharge. He was given ten penalty points.

Malcolm Duggan, 62, of Pickering Grove, Hartlepool, admitted production of cannabis and possession of cannabis. He was fined £280 and told to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.
