Handgun and machete discovered at £100,000-plus Hartlepool drugs den

Hartlepool Police now want information from the public to help them trace those responsible for cultivating the cannabis farm and possessing the weapons.
A Cleveland Police statement on Wednesday, December 9, read: “A cannabis farm of around 150 mature plants, estimated to be worth more than £100k, was found in a property on Straker Street.
"The find was made at around 12.45pm, Tuesday, December 8.

Hide Ad“Officers searching the property also discovered what appears to be a handgun and a machete.
“No arrests have been made at this time and inquiries continue. Anyone with any information which may assist officers is asked to call 101, reference 199683.

Tuesday’s discovery comes just days after an estimated £150,000 of cannabis was recovered at a house in the town’s Mitchell Street.
