“The closure of 9 Derby Street means that it is an offence for anyone but officers of the local authority and landlords of the properties and their agents to enter the properties for a period of three months from the closure date.
"A breach can lead to an arrest and imprisonment.”
Marie Harland of Hartlepool Borough Council’s Anti-Social Behaviour Team said: “The Hartlepool Community Safety Team is not prepared to tolerate such behaviour, and we immediately began to compile a case against these two addresses as soon as the problems in Stirling Street were reported to us.”
Neighbourhood police officer, Inspector Mark Haworth, said: “We will continue to work with the council to close down addresses which are causing problems for the law abiding majority.

“If you are experiencing problems in your area let us know and we will do all we can with the powers that we have to help solve the problem.”
They were granted after those addresses were also at the centre of reports of bad behaviour.
