Hartlepool man faces trial over flick knife and baseball bat allegations

A man is due to stand trial next year accused of having a flick knife and baseball bat in public.

Martin French, 32, pleaded not guilty to two charges of possessing an offensive weapon on Throston Grange Lane on August 25 last year.

The weapons are alleged to have been in a car that French was in.

During a hearing at Teesside Crown Court a trial date was earmarked for April 7, 2020.

French, of Fieldfare Road, Hartlepool, was granted bail.
