Hartlepool woman admits assault after throwing flour over man at siege scene

Jasmin Astill, 29, of Raby Road, Hartlepool, has also pleaded guilty to a separate charge of criminal damage after the flour landed on electronic equipment in the open boot of her victim’s car.
She has been ordered by Teesside Magistrates’ Court to pay £100 compensation and £85 prosecution costs after she admitted committing both offences in Northgate, on the Headland, in the early hours of April 26.

Hide AdThe court heard Astill, who also received a six-month conditional discharge, obtained the flour from a nearby address after asking her victim, who was legitimately working at the scene, what he was doing.
Police were already in the area because of a four-hour armed stand off involving Adam Trainor, 32, of Oxford Road, Hartlepool, who was later jailed for a year at Teesside Crown Court after admitting affray and making threats to kill.
