Hit-and-run driver knocks two boys off bikes in Hartlepool crash

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a collision involving a car and two boys on bicycles in a Hartlepool street.

The two boys, aged 12 and 13, suffered minor injuries during the collision which occurred on Brenda Road, near to the junction with Seaton Lane and Station Lane, in Hartlepool, at 1.30pm on Tuesday, May 19.

The car involved in the collision, a silver/grey vehicle, failed to stop at the scene.

A spokesman for Cleveland Police said: “The two boys, aged 12 and 13, suffered minor injuries to their hands and legs as a result of the collision.

“The driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene and officers are appealing for this person to come forward as they may be able to assist with enquiries.”

Any witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the collision is asked to contact PC Steven Lake on 101, quoting the event 080108.
