Man admitted being armed with a machete during street disturbance in Hartlepool

Kalem Lodge, 30, pleaded guilty at Teesside Crown Court to having the knife in Mulgrave Road, Hartlepool.
He also admitted causing an affray before police attended the scene on Friday, September 20.

Hide AdLodge, of Hood Close, Hartlepool, appeared over a videolink from Holme House Prison, Stockton.
A second man was alleged to have been armed with an iron bar in the incident, said prosecutor Paul Newcombe
Michael O’Keefe, 35, pleaded not guilty to possessing an iron bar as an offensive weapon.
O’Keefe, of Longscar Walk, Hartlepool, had his bail extended until a trial date on Monday, April 13.
Lodge was further remanded in custody for sentencing on a date to be fixed.
