Hartlepool Neighbourhood Police acted after securing a warrant to enter an address in the town’s Fordyce Road at teatime on Thursday, July 21.
They said in a statement: “Police seized a large quantity of cash from the house and arrested a 47-year-old man on suspicion of possession of criminal property.
“He was interviewed and released under investigation while inquiries continue.”
