Man arrested after 'large quantity of cash' is seized from Hartlepool house

A man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing criminal property after a “large quantity of cash” was seized from a house during a police raid.

Hartlepool Neighbourhood Police acted after securing a warrant to enter an address in the town’s Fordyce Road at teatime on Thursday, July 21.

They said in a statement: “Police seized a large quantity of cash from the house and arrested a 47-year-old man on suspicion of possession of criminal property.

“He was interviewed and released under investigation while inquiries continue.”
