Man arrested after ‘spitting at and being abusive’ towards an ambulance crew

A 36-year-old man has been arrested after reports that he was “spitting at and being abusive” towards an ambulance crew.

The incident took place at the University Hospital of North Tees ataround 12pm on Thursday, April 9.

Officers were called to the scene and following the arrest, the man remains in police custody.
