Hartlepool Neighbourhood Police arrested a 38-year-old man on Tuesday, March 16 on suspicion of burglary linked to the Fens and Rossmere area.

Officers are reminding residents in these areas to ensure their property is secure and report any suspicious activity to police.

The force is now urging residents to ensure crime prevention measures are in place to help keep their homes safe.

In a statement online Hartlepool Neighbourhood Police said: “Officers would like to remind people of crime prevention measures to help keep their homes safe, such as ensuring they secure doors and windows and locking sheds and garages to deter opportunists.

“Neighbourhood teams have increased patrols of the area and ask members of the public to report suspicious activity by calling 101.”
