Man arrested on suspicion of drink driving near seafront

A man has been arrested in Hartlepool on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

PC Rashad and PC Lambert from Cleveland Police’s dog unit had received a report of a car being driven in a dangerous manner. This was on Monday afternoon, September 21.

The vehicle was being driven on Marine Drive, close to the sea front.

The two police officers stopped the vehicle and the driver was then arrested. He has since been released pending further enquiries.
