Man stabbed and another suffered head injuries in violent attack in Hartlepool

Cleveland Police say officers were called to reports of a violent altercation in the Kipling Road/Masefield Road area of Hartlepool just before 6.30pm last night (Sunday, September 6).
Two men have been taken to hospital where they remain receiving treatment today (Monday, September 7) after they were assaulted by two or three males.

Hide AdA 39-year-old man received a two inch stab wound. He was treated and was discharged from James Cook Hospital on September 7.
A 32-year-old man remains in North Tees Hospital with a fracture to the back of his skull.
An investigation is now ongoing and detectives are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
A spokeswoman for the force said: “It was reported that two or three males had assaulted two other men, stabbing one and leaving the other with a head injury. Both men were taken to local hospitals and remain receiving treatment today.

Hide Ad“Several units attended the area to search for the suspects however no arrests have been made at this stage. Inquiries are on-going and we would appeal for anyone with information - including private CCTV or dash cam footage - to contact Hartlepool CID via the 101 number, quoting Ref 145993.”
Pictures, taken at 8.30pm on Sunday, show up to six police cars at the scene as they block off the road to traffic.
