Pigeons killed in sickening New Year attack at Hartlepool allotment

Eight pigeons have been killed in a shocking attack at a Hartlepool allotment.
The incident took place at an allotment which is accessed by a footpath near to Brancepeth Walk, Hartlepool.

Cleveland Police are appealing for information after the pigeons were killed and damage was caused at an allotment near to West View Road in Hartlepool.

It is believed the incident occurred between 6pm on New Year’s Eve and 10am on New Year’s Day.

Anyone with information is asked to contact officers by calling 101.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “Police are appealing for information after eight pigeons were killed and damage was caused to an allotment in Hartlepool.

“The allotment is based off West View Road in Hartlepool, accessed by a footpath near to Brancepeth Walk.

“It is believed the incident occurred between 6pm on New Year’s Eve and 10am on New Year’s Day.

“Officers are appealing for anyone with any information regarding the incident to contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting 000944.
