Police appeal after man pushed to the ground and robbed in Hartlepool

Police are seeking information after a man was robbed in Hartlepool.

The incident happened as the victim was walking through the town’s Burn Valley Gardens.

Two male suspects, both riding pedal cycles, approached him and pushed him to the ground before stealing his black laptop rucksack.

Cleveland Police have said that the men then made off towards Keswick Street.

One of the suspects is described as an Asian male, around 30 years old, of medium build and 5 foot 9 inches tall.

He is described as having short black hair, a long black beard and moustache and was wearing a red t-shirt, black jeans and was riding a pedal cycle.

The second suspect is described as a black male with black shoulder length hair wearing dark clothing and riding a pedal cycle.

The incident happened at around 7 pm on Tuesday, 27 July.
