Police appeal for information after Hartlepool residents report man allegedly trying to break into houses and cars

Police are appealing for information after residents in the Rossmere area reported someone trying a number of car and house doors.

Officers are trying to trace a man who was allegedly trying a number of car and house doors between midnight and 1am on Friday, January 15.

Police have described a man that may be able to help with enquires as a white male, in his 30s, around 5’6” tall and of stocky build.

The Hartlepool Neighbourhood Police team have released a picture of the male who was wearing a black jacket with a motif on the left side, black bottoms, and trainers.

Police are asking anybody with good quality private CCTV or Ring.com footage to check their systems and contact police if they have captured any relevant footage.
