Police give update after man's body found near Grayfields in Hartlepool

Police have confirmed the death of a man whose body was found in Hartlepool is not suspicious.

The person was discovered next to Wiltshire Way near Grayfields shortly before 5pm on Monday, May 18.

Cleveland Police initially treated the man’s death as unexplained.

Today, Wednesday, May 20, the force has confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances.

Cleveland Police said: “The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious and his family have been informed.

“Our thoughts remain with his family at this difficult time.”
