Police plea to trace good Samaritan after pensioner suffers injuries in street

Police are investigating how a pensioner received injuries and also want to trace a good Samaritan who helped her.

Cleveland Police say the unknown man assisted the elderly woman in Quebec Grove, Billingham, on Monday, May 18, at around midday.

A force spokesperson added: “Officers are carrying out a number of inquiries to determine how the woman aged in her 80s sustained these injuries.

“A man who is described as being bald and wearing a high vis tabard and driving a white van assisted the injured woman and officers would like this man to come forward as he may be able to assist with their inquiries.

“Anyone who may have been in the area at the time the woman was injured who may have dash cam footage or private CCTV footage is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting 080037.”
