Police seize vehicle following crackdown on anti-social behaviour across Hartlepool

Hartlepool Neighbourhood Police have seized a vehicle which had been used in an ‘anti-social manner’ and without insurance following a clamp down on anti-social use of vehicles across the town.

Hartlepool neighbourhood officers seized a car on Sunday, March 14 from Eaglesfield Road, Hartlepool after the vehicle had been used in an ‘anti-social manner’, without insurance and valid documentation.

Officers teamed up with specialist support units as part of Operation Endurance to disrupt anti-social use of motor vehicles across Hartlepool.

Police officers were on patrol around the town on Sunday as part the operation which also aims to tackle the illegal use of off-road bikes and quads.

In a statement online, Hartlepool Neighbourhood Police said: “We want to engage with our communities and raise awareness of this issue and we’d encourage members of the public to report where these bikes are being stored and used so we can take action.”

Officers urge the public to report incidents to 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
