Police warn of thefts from cars in Hartlepool during lockdown

Hartlepool residents are urged to make sure their vehicle is secure following reports of thefts from cars during lockdown.

Officers in Hartlepool investigating reports of theft from cars are reminding people to ensure their vehicle is secure and property removed or concealed.

It comes after a 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle in the early hours of Friday, April 10.

And now the force is appealing to people who have vehicles parked in or around these roads to check their vehicles – if they can do so safely – and if items are missing to call 101 and ask for PC 2580 Leonard, reference 055567.
