£10,000 reward offered after father-of-two Hemwand Ali Hussain is shot dead in Hartlepool

Crimestoppers have renewed the £10,000 reward for information relating to Hemwand Ali Hussain’s alleged murder in Hartlepool.

The 30-year-old father-of-two was found dead at a property in Charterhouse Street, Hartlepool, on Sunday, September 15, 2019 after suffering a gunshot wound.

Four men have been charged in connection but their trial date is yet to be confirmed.

Now, police have shared images of Qazim Marku, 23, and Eugert Merizaj, 28, two men who are wanted in connection with the alleged murder. Both were born in Albania but are thought to have links across the UK including Cleveland.

Eugert Merizaj is described as around 5’5 tall with brown eyes and short dark hair with a receding hairline. He has a full beard and moustache in the photos.

Qazim Marku is around 5’8 tall, with brown eyes and short dark hair. He also has dark facial hair in the photograph.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Robinson, said: “We’d appeal to anyone who can provide information to help us locate these wanted men to get in contact with police, and if anyone sees these men, they are asked not to approach them but to contact us on 999.”

Police are also searching for two men who they believe can help with enquiries. They are a man believed to be in his 40s – who was a passenger in a silver Mercedes E Class – and a man, thought to be in his 20s, who is pictured wearing a grey ‘Fila’ brand sweatshirt and dark trousers.

Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information it receives that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
