Quad bike seized by Hartlepool police after reports of 'dangerous and reckless' riding

A man has been reported for driving offences after officers seized a quad bike believed to be linked to reports of dangerous riding.

Hartlepool Neighbourhood Police Team’s officers took to the streets after receiving reports last night, Friday, November 20, relating to off-road quad bikes “being ridden in a dangerous and reckless manner” in the Jutland Road and Seaton Lane area of town.

A spokesperson for the team said: “Officers from the Hartlepool Neighbourhood Policing Team and Integrated Response Team conducted patrols in the area eventually locating one of the offending vehicles and its male rider on Ormesby Road.

"The quad bike was not road registered and the rider held no insurance and as a result the quad was seized and the male was reported for driving offences.”
