He additionally pleaded guilty to a seventh charge of failing to surrender to custody on March 26 this year.

Owens was jailed because of his “disregard for court orders” after Teesside Magistrates’ Court was told that he received similar convictions for drug driving and driving while disqualified in the town’s Jutland Road in 2019.

He was banned from driving for 36 months for his latest offences and also ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge and £420 prosecution costs.
