Sending offensive texts, resisting police and other recent Hartlepool court cases

The following cases from the Hartlepool area were dealt with recently at Teesside Magistrates’ Court:

Kelly Marston, 40, of Troutpool Close, Hartlepool, received a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge and £40 prosecution costs after admitting two counts of sending indecent or grossly offensive messages via text on February 26 last year and January 4.

Gillian Handisides, 60, of Uppingham Street, Hartlepool, was fined £40 and ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge after admitting failing to surrender to custody on October 23.

Jeffrey Hudson, 56, of Banton Close, Billingham, received a 20-month jail term, which was suspended for 18 months, was banned from driving for 42 months and ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge and £85 costs after he admitting two counts of drink driving on September 21 and December 12.

Aaron John Laybourn, 26, of Firby Close, Hartlepool, was fined £400 and ordered to pay a £40 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting resisting a police officer in the course of their duty and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour on February 20.

Anthony Dean Burgess-Williams, 22, of Grassham Street, Peterlee, received a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge and £45 costs after admitting possessing crack cocaine on November 4.

Andrew Wilmot, 43, of Grange Road, Hartlepool, received a six-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge and £45 costs after admitting two counts of possessing class C drugs on November 4.

John Michael Bostock, 41, of Roseberry Road, Trimdon Station, was banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay a £120 fine, £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drug driving in Hartlepool on July 3.
