Stealing joints of beef from Lidl and other recent Hartlepool court cases

The following cases from the Hartlepool area were dealt with recently at Teesside Magistrates’ Court:

Jeyanathan Kulanthaivelu, 50, of Chatham Road, Hartlepool, received 10 penalty points on his driving licence and was ordered to pay an £150 fine, £34 victim surcharge and £350 prosecution costs after admitting being in charge of a vehicle while over the drink-drive limit on December 21.

Leon Christopher Owens, 27, of Bosworth Way, Billingham, received a three-month conditional discharge, was banned from driving for three years and ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge after admitting two counts of drug driving in Hartlepool on November 11 and one each of driving while disqualified and without insurance on the same date.

Andrew Gardiner, 31, of Station Road, Billingham, was banned from driving for 20 months and ordered to pay an £120 fine, £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drink driving on April 21.

Gavin John Middleton, 33, of Newark Road, Hartlepool, received a six-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge after making threats to damage a police vehicle on April 18.

Callum Beswick, 31, of Haswell Avenue, Hartlepool, was banned from driving for four years, placed on an electronic curfew as part of a six-month community order and ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £40 costs after admitting drink driving, driving while disqualified and and without insurance on January 28.

Chantelle Malham, 32, of Longfellow Walk, Hartlepool, received a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting two counts of possessing class B drugs on April 9.

Martin Paul Emmerson, 41, of Eamont Terrace, Hartlepool, received a six-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting stealing £41.87 of beef joints from Lidl on July 8.
