Suspected drugs seized after car is stopped in Hartlepool

A quantity of suspected drugs has been seized after a car was stopped in Hartlepool.

Officers from the Hartlepool Neighbourhood Police Team, working in the Hartlepool Community Safety Team, stopped a vehicle in Catcote Road today, Tuesday, February 16, acting on a tip-off.

The vehicle was found to contain a ‘substantial’ amount of suspected drugs and the driver was also uninsured.

The car was seized and removed from the roads.

A 59-year-old man is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
