Teenage girl among three arrested in probe into alleged assault and burglary in Hartlepool

A 15-year-old girl has been arrested, while a man and woman have been charged in connection with a suspected assault and burglary in Hartlepool.

Cleveland Police were called to reports of an incident in Cameron Road in the town at 4.45am yesterday, Tuesday, January 19.

The force has said a 30-year-old man was reportedly assaulted and was taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries before he was later released.

A man aged 28 was arrested and charged with burglary dwelling (inflict grievous bodily harm) and handling stolen goods.

A woman aged 21 was arrested and charged with burglary dwelling (inflict grievous bodily harm).

Both are due to appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court today.

A 15-year-girl was also arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and assault by beating and has been released with bail conditions.
