Terrifying 'butterfly sword' discovered at Hartlepool home following police search

Police inquiries are ongoing after a butterfly sword was found by officers as they searched a Hartlepool home.

Police officers made the alarming discovery while searching an address on Jutland Road in Hartlepool on Thursday, January 7.

Cleveland Police had a warrant to search the property following a number of reports of crime and anti-social behaviour at the premises.

No arrests were made however inquiries are ongoing.

A Hartlepool Neighbourhood Police Team spokesman said: “We urge our residents to continue to report such concerns to us so we can take appropriate action.”
