Theft of protein shakes from Sainsbury's, threatening behaviour and assaulting a police officer: 7 criminals appear before magistrates

Craig Lee Wharton, 41, of Uppingham Street, Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to seven low value shop thefts, including biscuits and protein shakes from Sainsbury’s and a charge of breaching a court order. He was given a 12-month community order and told to pay compensation totalling £85.55.

Ryan Joseph Nichols, 27, of Cheviot Crescent, Billingham, pleaded guilty to a charge of assault and of threatening behaviour. He was given a six-month community order and told to pay £200 in compensation.

Shaun Benjamin Wilson, 31, of HMP Durham, was given a 12-month conditional discharge after he admitted stealing three bottles of alcohol. He was ordered to pay a £21 surcharge.

Jamie David Sanderson, 31, of Low Grange Avenue, Billingham, pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis, assaulting a police officer, possession of a kitchen knife in a public place and threatening behaviour. He was given a six-month community order and told to pay costs of £300 and a £90 surcharge.

Neil Walter Flounders, 45, of Holme House, pleaded guilty to two thefts from sheds in Hartlepool. He was jailed for 12 weeks and ordered to pay £85 costs and a surcharge of £122.

Stephen Meredith, 44, of Kimberley Street, Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer. He was fined £448 and ordered to pay £50 compensation, £85 costs and a £44 surcharge.

Kieron Brady Robinson, 29, of Turnbull Street, Hartlepool, was fined £150 after pleading guilty to criminal damage of a police cell.
