Two Hartlepool men due in court charged with 'various offences' including burglary

Two men have been charged in connection with allegations of trying to open car doors and doors to properties in Hartlepool.

The incident is said to have taken place during the early hours of Thursday, October 8 when Cleveland Police received reports of allegations that a group were trying to open the doors of properties and cars in the town.

Two men, aged 19 and 22, from the Hartlepool area have now been charged with various offences, the force said in a statement.

The pair will appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on Friday, October 9 to answer the charges of burglary, attempted burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, theft from a motor vehicle, vehicle interference, fraud by false representation and failure to provide a specimen of breath for analysis.

Both have received conditional bail pending further inquiries.
