Two men arrested after ‘a large number’ of drugs found in vehicle in Hartlepool

Two men were arrested and a vehicle was seized after police found “a large number of drugs” when they stopped a car in Hartlepool.

On Thursday, March 25, officers from the Hartlepool Neighbourhood Police Team stopped a vehicle in the town’s Wynyard Road.

Police have said that “a large number” of Class B and Class C drugs was uncovered in the vehicle, which was seized on suspicion of being used in crime.

Two men aged 59 and 27 were also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B and class C drugs, driving while disqualified and without insurance.

Both males are currently assisting police with their inquiries, Hartlepool Neighbourhood Police Team said in a statement on Friday.
