Woman seriously injured by dog in Hartlepool park

Police are now appealing for the public’s help in tracing the animal and its owners following the incident in Burn Valley Gardens, Hartlepool, on Tuesday, July 21.
A Cleveland Police statement issued on Wednesday said: “The woman was in the park at around 3pm yesterday when a lurcher-type dog tried to attack her dog.

Hide Ad"In the process of trying to separate them, the lady was knocked over by the out-of-control dog and was taken to North Tees General Hospital with a serious back injury.
“The dog is described as 'sandy' coloured and was with a couple who had a child in a pram.
“Anyone who witnessed this, or anyone with information, is asked to call Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting 117870.”
