York Road cordoned off as the air ambulance is called following reports of an injured man

Officers cordoned off York Road in Hartlepool town centre at around 2.40pm on Tuesday, December 29, after receiving reports of an injured male.
It is understood that the 20-year-old man had suffered an injury to his back police investigating the incident have revealed they do not believe it to be life threatening.

Hide AdThe man was taken to hospital by the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) who had requested the help of the Great North Air Ambulance, which had landed in the car park of Tesco Extra on Belle Vue Way.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to a report of an injured male on York Road in Hartlepool at 2:40pm this afternoon, Tuesday 29th December.
“A male, aged 20, had reportedly suffered an injury to his back which is not believed to be life threatening and he has been taken to hospital for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing."

"One patient was transported to hospital by road.”
