Cyclist injured after hit and run in Hartlepool

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was injured in a hit and run.

The 28-year-old man was cycling along Raby Road in Hartlepool, near to the Premier Shop, when he was involved in a collision with a car.

The incident happened on Wednesday, January 20 at around 4pm. The vehicle did not stop at the scene.

The victim was riding a blue/white Giant pedal cycle and was taken to the One Life Centre and Hartlepool General Hospital where he received treatment for a fractured elbow.

Anyone with information regarding the vehicle or the driver or any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact PC Michaela Anderson at Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 013453.
