Derby County give Hartlepool United their £23,000 share of FA Cup receipts

Hartlepool United have been handed a £23,000 boost after Derby County handed back their FA Cup gate receipts.

The Championship side beat Pools 2-1 at Victoria Park on Saturday in the third round of the competition in front of a crowd of 4,860.

And Derby have decided to give back their share of the gate receipts to League Two Pools.

It is a welcome boost for the club, with Ronnie Moore looking to strengthen the squad this month.

A total of 935 Derby fans made the trip from the Midlands.
