Dog rescued after cliff fall in Blackhall
A family's tiny dog is lucky to be alive after falling from cliffs near a picnic site in Blackhall.
Hartlepool Coastguard were called to the area just after 2.30pm, today, after the alarm was raised.
The family dog had fallen about 20-30ft down the bank to the cliff edge.
The team were joined by colleagues from Seaham Coastguard who launched a rescue mission.
After finding the dog, a cliff technician was lowered to the family pet with an animal bag to recover him.
He was then taken down the rocks to his owners. The dog was luckily unharmed.
