Easter fun on offer at Hartlepool country park

A country park in Hartlepool has lined up a host of activities for Easter.

The programme which runs from March 29-April 8, includes junior archery, pond dipping sessions, indoor climbing and crafts.

Tuesday, March 29: Easter Crafts, 1-3pm. Three Easter-themed environmental craft activities suitable for ages 4+, £2 per craft.

Wednesday, March 30: Xplorers Event, 10am –2pm. £1 per person. Join in a family-friendly competition to find hidden markers using a map. This is a drop-in session so there is no need to book. Wild Wednesdays, 1-3pm.Join the Countryside Team for fun outdoor activities. Wear your old clothes and prepare for a messy session!

Thursday, March 31: Junior Archery, 10am –12pm. Indoor instructor-led archery for ages 8-12. Bug Safari, 1.30-3pm. Hands-on pond dipping and mini-beast hunt, age 4+

Friday, April 1, Little People’s Indoor Climbing, 9-10am, for ages 4-5. £3. Indoor Climbing, 10.30am-12pm for ages 6-10. Slacklining, 1.30-3pm. Come and try your hand at this fun activity. It’s a bit like tight rope walking but on a ‘Slack Line’.

Monday, April 4. Family Den Building, 10am –12pm. Come and build your own shelter in Summerhill’s woodlands, age 5+

Tuesday, April 5: Spring Into Summerhill and create your own Journey Stick, 1–3pm

Wednesday, April 6: Xplorers Event, 10am – 2pm. £1 per person. Wild Wednesdays, 1-3pm.

Thursday, April 7: Junior Archery, 3-5pm. Indoor instructor-led archery for ages 8-12.

Friday, Apri 8:Nut Brown Hare, 10.30am –12pm. Woodland games and activities. For ages 3+ .
