Emergency services called to a Hartlepool beach after a man fell 16 feet down a cliff

Emergency crews were called to a Hartlepool beach near the Brus Tunnel after a man fell down a cliff face.

The incident took place shortly before 2pm on Sunday, February 28, after a man had fallen from a cliff and onto a beach near to the Brus Tunnel in Hartlepool

The North East Ambulance Service dispatched paramedics and their hazardous area response teams to the scene where they treated the man for a knee injury.

He was then taken to North Tees Hospital and the nature of his condition remains unknown at this time.

"We dispatched a paramedic crew and a hazardous area response vehicle who treated the man for a knee injury at the scene before taking him to North Tees Hospital.”
