Hartlepool Borough Council has issued a reminder for residents about the service starting up again – with households set to receive one brown bin collection every four weeks.
The council suspended garden waste collections in response to the coronavirus outbreak, easing pressure on resources and ensuring that key frontline services could be carried out.

People are asked to have their bins out by 7.30am on collection day.
Councillor John Tennant, chairman of the council’s Neighbourhood Services Committee, said: “We are very pleased that we are now in a position to resume household garden waste collections, albeit on a reduced frequency for the time being.
“I would like to thank residents very much for their patience and support while the brown bin service was suspended.”
