In a press conference on February 8 David Cameron made the ridiculous claim that, in his time in government, crime had fallen by 25%.
It is, of course, possible that reported crime might have fallen in that time.
There are never enough of our over-worked, stressed, hard-pressed, outnumbered, frontline police officers available to take a complaint when you try to make one.
