And here are a couple more photographic reminders of the decades gone by at West View Baptist Church, which will celebrate with a series of events from next week.

Over the last few days we have looked into the history of the church, which has served thousands of people in the West View area of Hartlepool.

Today, there’s a chance to enjoy more photographs from the days gone by as well as finding out how to take part in the birthday fun.

Church officials have described it as a chance to celebrate 60 years of life and faith from Wednesday, September 7, to Sunday, September 11.

Highlights include;

l The Big Reunion event on Wednesday, September 7, from 3pm to 6pm. It is a chance for people – who remember being at guides, brownies and Sunday School – to get back together.

l The Our Story exhibition from 3pm to 7pm on Thursday, September 7, and Friday, September 9; and 10am to 1pm on Saturday, September 10.

l Friday, September 9, from 7pm to 9pm – the Youth Quiz Night where teams of four or five people can take part.

l Saturday, September 10, from 4pm to 7pm – a barbecue and family fun event is planned.

l Sunday, September 11 at 10.30am – a celebration service.
