Fire fighters tackle fridge freezer blaze at home on Headland

A fridge freezer fire has been extinguished on a driveway in Hartlepool.

Cleveland Fire Brigade were called at around 2.45pm on Saturday, February 1 to an incident on Howard Street on the Headland.

At the scene, fire fighters from Stranton Fire Station, with one fire engine, found a fridge freezer on fire on a property’s driveway.

A Cleveland Fire Brigade spokeswoman said the blaze “spread to and damaged a uPVC window sill of the property” and was extinguished by around 3pm.
