Firefighters give casualty first aid at scene of three-vehicle smash in Hartlepool

Firefighters called to a crash on a Hartlepool road offered first aid to a casualty before they were handed over to an ambulance crew.

Emergency services were called to Blakelock Road in Rift House, Hartlepool at 12.21pm yesterday, Sunday, April 18, following a three-vehicle crash.

Cleveland Fire Brigade sent two appliances from its Hartlepool station, with the team offering first aid to one person involved before the arrival of the North East Ambulance Service.

The crews also made the scene safe, leaving the incident site at 12.48pm.
