Steven Ward, owner and chairman of the training and recruitment firm, said: “We were so proud to participate in the event and raise funds for the charity. The morning surpassed expectation as employers across Peterlee Business Park joined us alongside friends, and family of staff.

“Macmillan plays such an invaluable part in the community helping individuals and families affected by cancer. Having lost my mam last summer to the disease, my own family witnessed first-hand the dedication, commitment, and personal support the Macmillan nurses provide. We will be forever grateful for their support during such difficult and challenging times. I urge any business, family or individual to find a way of supporting the Macmillan Charity. I would also like to thank our staff for their contribution and for looking after all the people who attended the coffee morning.”

Macmillan’s fundraising manager Liz Airey said: “I would like to say a huge thanks to everyone at Profound Group. They have all done a fantastic job fundraising to help local people affected by cancer. There are many ways you can help Macmilllan, from raising funds to volunteering your time to help, please do get in touch if you would like to support us.”
