Fixture latest: New date set for Hartlepool United's trip to Barrow

Hartlepool United's clash with Barrow has been rescheduled.

The clash will now take place on Tuesday, April 10, kick off 7.45pm.

The original fixture was called off back on Saturday, February 10 due to a waterlogged pitch at Barrow's Holker Street ground.

Pools hold talks with Chelsea Champions League winner and ex-Sunderland coachAfter the call off, then manager Craig Harrison said: "The postponement was a nightmare but I guess it was in keeping with the way things have been going for us.

"The feeling I got from the players when we told them the game was off was just frustration because there was a confidence we could go to Barrow and get the three points.

"On the plus side, it’s a little more recovery time for one or two and another week on the training pitch so that’s good.

"But we just want to get the games going again so we’re pleased we’ve got Saturday and Tuesday coming up and we’ll prepare right to try and win both games."

Pools match with Leyton Orient, postponed yesterday, does not yet have a new date.

The O's were due to head to Victoria Park on March 6, but will now take on Gateshead on Tyneside in an FA Trophy quarter final replay after a 3-3 draw at the weekend.
